Among our primary areas of concentration is condo/coop law which includes important legal issues affecting the entities like tax implications, maintenance charges and collection, energy conservation opportunities, management issues and generally advising the Board of Managers on reasonable policies which may involve implementing and/or changing the by-laws and rules and regulations which govern the building. Other typical legal issues for a condominium or cooperative may include leasing restrictions, common area use, architectural enforcement, pets, parking, sublet issues, breaches of the building rules, nuisance problems, and alterations of units.
We are prepared to advise the condominium or cooperative in various aspects of the law, and we are also available to assist in contract negotiations including, but not limited to those with building service unions.
